Receipts confirm payment activity for supporters and help organizations answer contact questions.
Use receipt information when a contact asks for confirmation, tax documentation, or a copy of their payment record.
For eligible succeeded payments, admins with permission may resend a receipt from the payment action menu.
Receipt actions are available from Payments by opening the payment action menu and choosing Resend Receipt. If the action is not shown, confirm the payment succeeded and that your account has payment management permission.
Admins may also resend receipts from selected payment records when that action is available. Receipt resend is intended for one selected payment with an email address. Larger receipt jobs, when available, appear in Activity.
Tax-exempt language in receipts depends on the organization's tax-exempt status in CharityStack. If your tax-exempt status changes, update Settings before relying on contact-facing tax language.
If a contact cannot find a receipt, ask them to check the email address used at checkout and any spam or promotions folders before escalating to CharityStack support.
