Event Forms let supporters register for events, purchase tickets, and provide attendee information.
When To Use This
Use event forms for galas, classes, conferences, community programs, and other events that require registration or ticket purchases.
Steps
- Go to Forms.
- Start a new form.
- Choose Event Form.
- Add event details.
- Configure individual or group tickets.
- Add promo codes, purchaser fields, or attendee fields, if needed.
- Review the event page, QR code, and embedded form options.
- Activate the event.
Admin Notes
- Event payments can be processed from the Payments create flow by choosing Event Payment.
- Event Forms have an attend hosted page URL.
- Event Forms can also be shared with overlay URLs or embed code when your website is configured.
- Free ticket checkouts collect contact and attendee details, then confirm the registration without showing paid payment options.
- Purchaser custom input fields are answered once during checkout. Attendee custom input fields are collected for ticket holders.
- Tickets can be individual or group tickets. Group tickets include a seat count.
- Ticket setup includes the ticket name, price, and quantity. Free tickets use a price of zero.
- Event Time and Location can be enabled when the event page should show date, time, or location details.
Promo Codes
Event Forms can include optional promo codes for paid tickets.
When you add a promo code, choose:
- Promo code name.
- Promo code type: percentage discount or dollar discount.
- Discount amount.
- Tickets the promo code applies to.
Promo codes must be tied to at least one ticket. Free tickets cannot use promo codes. Dollar discounts cannot be larger than the selected ticket price, and percentage discounts cannot be more than 100%.
Ticket Check-In
Event reporting can show attendee totals, active event totals, checked-in counts, and not checked-in counts.
Ticket records can include check-in status. Use Checked In and Not Checked In filters to review attendance, reconcile event participation, or answer questions from event staff.
Contacts may also see event and ticket details in the portal when those records are available.
