Zapier can connect CharityStack activity to other apps through automation workflows. CharityStack uses Zapier webhook URLs for this connection.
When To Use This
Use Zapier when your organization needs a lightweight automation that is not covered by a native integration.
Admin Notes
- Use Zapier for simple notifications, spreadsheet rows, task creation, or handoffs to tools your team already uses.
- CharityStack accepts Zapier webhook URLs that start with
https://hooks.zapier.com/. - Your organization can save more than one Zapier webhook URL when multiple workflows need the same CharityStack activity.
- Admins can add, remove, test, deactivate, or disconnect Zapier webhooks from the integration settings.
- Keep automations narrow and test them with a small example before relying on them for a live campaign.
- Avoid sending sensitive contact details to apps that your organization has not approved.
Setup Checklist
- Create the Zap in Zapier and copy the webhook URL.
- Go to Settings > Integrations.
- Open Zapier.
- Paste the webhook URL.
- Save and test the webhook.
- Confirm the receiving app handles the fields the way your team expects.
Testing
Zapier testing sends an example payload to the selected webhook URL. Use the test result in CharityStack and the task history in Zapier to confirm the receiving Zap is active and mapped correctly.
Admins can choose the test payload type before sending the test:
- Standard Monthly: an example monthly payment to a single fund.
- Add to Cart: an example one-time checkout with multiple items.
- Sponsorship: an example sponsorship-style payment tied to a specific program or selection.
If a test fails, confirm the URL starts with https://hooks.zapier.com/, the Zap is turned on, and the receiving app accepts the fields in the test payload.
